Here we go. Technology has granted us an opportunity to provide running commentary for another Knicks season. We get to underscore all of the upcoming drama with our own punch lines. And don’t believe the diaglogue will go sight unseen. There are MSG executives and players here who get every word that’s printed or posted sent to the house before they head out the door.

With that in mind, answer me this, in your mind, what constitutes significant improvement?

Knicks owner James Dolan still hasn’t qualified the most important remark of another long summer.

Does this group need to make the playoffs to keep Isiah Thomas employed in New York? Is there a number of wins that makes a 23-59 nightmare easier to forget?

Keep this in mind, Jared Jeffries won’t be available for another 6-8 weeks. He suffered a non-displaced fracture of the left wrist two weeks ago and was re-evaluated by a specialist last night. Guess what? He is undergoing surgery to “aid the healing process” today.

The earliest Jeffries comes back now is the second week of December. The best defensive player on the Knicks will be watching 22 games.

Check back often. I can’t be everywhere this season, but I’m usually in the gym whenever this team is practicing in Greenburgh or playing at the Garden. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or debate a story. More than ever, the media is attempting to involve the fans. Take advantage.
