It’s probably safe to assume the Atlantic Division is the worst in the league.
So what does that say about the Knicks, who are 3-10 this season against Toronto, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Boston?
And still, no matter how much it seems like each of these damning defeats finally spells the end, we can’t write them off because nobody else seems to want to lock onto the final playoff spot in the East.
It’s hard to believe the Knicks are still just 2 ½ games behind the Orlando Magic despite going 2-9 since Isiah Thomas signed a contract extension. There are just eight games to play, so the end is getting closer.
“We’re hanging on by a shoestring and a prayer,� Jerome James said.
And when their aching feet do land in the sand, they will no doubt have plenty of regrets. Yes, the Knicks are riddled with injuries. We hear about it every single day.
But there was enough talent assembled to beat the Sixers.
They were good enough to hold off the Magic, Blazers, Hornets and Sonics, too. Forget the earlier disappointments. In all likelihood, they will focus on those losses more than any of the others.
“It doesn’t matter what their record is,� Stephon Marbury said. “A loss is a loss. At this point we need to win those games.�
• Nate Robinson claimed matchups are the reason behind Mardy Collins getting a chance to start. “No big deal,� he said. “I’ve been coming off the bench all year.�
• We all did a double take after noticing David Lee standing in line for the anthem in uniform. He only dressed after Kelvin Cato was sent home sick. Thomas wanted him ready in case of emergency.
• Marbury might also be dealing with a back problem. “I’m fine,� he said. While on the sidelines after his impressive 18-point explosion, Marbury was stretched out on top of a heating pad.

These losses are very difficult to watch but I keep watching because I know once the Knicks finish playing I won’t be able to watch them again till summer league.

Larry Brown was sooooooo bad last year. SO what does that mean Isaiah has done this year? They lose nearly every close game, they play the most zone D in the league and horribly at that. Currys stats are better but in the beginning of the year all thay did was keep feeding his rotund behind the ball over and over. Yeah he scored , but the results were mostly L’s. Most big guys would have descent stats if they were the focus of the O. Kristic, Al Jefferson, Howard, ( naybe Dalembert)Bogut, are all examples of guys who if they were given the ball EVERY time down the court would be able to score 18 a game. The only difference is that the other guys play D, rebound and can pass out of a double team.
Anyone see T Thomas last night? The Knicks keep losing and the Bulls are looking more and more like theyre gonna have a top 5 pick in the best draft in 20 plus years.
Why can’t the Magic and or Pacers just put us out of our misery?
first post on this blog. i am a transplant new yorker living in the central florida area (orlando). let me tell you guys that as much as we are frustrated with the knicks, the people here are fed up with the magic. the magic are just as inconsistant and play just as crappy at times as the knicks so don’t lose all hope.
Firstly the Raptors should not even be mention in this story they are the class of the Atlantic and have a better record then the Heat and the Wizards and not far from the Bulls and Cavs and mainly a bunch of kids.
The Knicks are dreadful and Isiah’s extention is another reminder the Dolan is insane and should be impeached!! lol I wish that could happen and the Knicks get some credibilty back!
