Sitting in the dark

October
8

Call it old school.

While the Knicks were down in Columbia, S.C. opening another season, we all sat around wondering. What kind of shape is Zach Randolph in? How did the rookies look? Is the leg an issue for David Lee?

I guess we have to read the papers, just like grandpa did way back when.

Just wondering, though, is anybody else amazed that we’re not even getting streaming audio via the internet? They beat the Sixers, by the way, 101-92. So what’s that now, six in a row going back to summer league? Isiah Thomas is big on establishing a proper atmosphere, so there’s no doubt in my mind the he’s going to be looking to run the preseason table.

It sounds like we’ll learn more about Eddy Curry’s shoulder tomorrow after he visits with a team orthopedist. Lamar Odom actually played 23 games last season with a torn labrum and underwent surgery in the offseason. We don’t know if the injuries are similar, but it makes sense to fix the problem now since the rehab seems to begin 10-14 days after surgery and there’s plenty of time left before the opener.

I’m seeing 101-92 as the final

The knicks really dropped the ball on this one. This game should’ve been televised. I don’t care if it was via tape delay. It’s funny that we can watch all the summer league games but only a select few of preseason games.

Sorry about the wrong score, I was fooled by technology. NBA.com had final up before the score was updated. My bad.

first I would say is calm down it’s preseason Mike. The season is what I’m waiting for.

Hey Mike, when are you going to report on Allan Houston coming back to the Knicks? According to ESPN, he’s making it official 24 hours from now.
