Insert your own punch line

October
31

So yesterday I’m walking into the MSG Training Center when I came upon this to the left of the front entrance …

I’m not kidding.

Are you into symbolism? The best punch line so far comes from Daily News writer Frank Isola who asked whether 1872 is going to be the Knicks’ record this season.

Happy Halloween if you’re so inclined.

1972 Was the last time the NY media accurately covered the Knicks without personal bias or animosity.
1972 likely the last time they covered the Knick’s from a purely sports angle instead of from an enquire-esq entertainment angle.
1972 was the last time NY beat writers cared less about negative morbid curiosity than they do anything positive.
1972 was the last time I had any respect for NY sports writers.

Example…After the knicks beat the celtics in preseason, it was damn impossible to find a single article that gave the stats or covered the game. NO instead it was all the crap about sexual harassment and How Stern feels. Yeah, great reporting job.

I watched you on NbaTV and you come across very smart and knowledgable but, here…I have to sometimes wonder. Too much bias.

    Be an objective observer!

Frank Iosola should never be quoted here unless you are trying to lower your own standards. This is the same guy who said we definitely had Mike Fratello as a coach and even did some articles about how he wouldn’t be able to help the Knicks.

    Superjay,

Wow. That’s a very good memory. Remind me not to make you angry.
