Before the ball goes up …
Or the blog goes down …
Jerome James was scheduled to be re-evaluated before the game. I know everyone is waiting anxiously to hear whether he’s on the way back. Or not.
We talked about turnovers with Zach Randolph for a minute. He’s committed 17 miscues in the last three games, and some of them look really careless.
“I’ve been turning the ball over a lot,” Randolph said. “It’s just (a matter of) being strong with it, taking care of it because I know they’re coming to double team. They’re looking to drop down on me, so I’ve got to make my move faster, just hold onto the ball and be precise about my passes.”
The lineup remains unchanged.
Stephon Marbury will be shadowing Deron Williams.

Marbury is really looking like the type Isiah was referring to about last season. Curry is absolutely terrible and no clue how to box out – as shown by when Marbury made that 4pt play. Now im starting to see what Isiah was talking about when he said if Marbury plays the way he did last year we can be okay. Bc even if we traded him, who else is there who can lock up on D like him, and score the way hes shown he can so far in the Jazz game and even last game. He seems to be playing the way Larry B wanted him to. I like what i see so far even if we lose thisg ame. the schedule gests easier after this tough stretch so we jsut have to get it straight by then

What I mean by the 4 pt play was that they showed curry standing there as teh shot went up on MSG. Im not sure what Isiah how he motivates the team in the locker room but he really seems to get the team to play hard even after all this mess. theyre continuing to play D they way they ddi against the Bulls (especially marbury).

What a relief! I was at the game again and it is so nice to be able to stand up and cheer with 20,000 others.
Some thoughts: WHY DO THE KNICKS PLAY ZONE
I seem to ask this every game. They mess up almost every possession then switch to zone. I can’t stand it.
Was anyone else at the game to see the fan dancing contest? That guy Dan who won is hilarious. That was the loudest the crowd had been up to that point.
Also, Mike, the Knicks switched baskets they were shooting on tonight. Why is that? The last few games I went to they shoot on the opposite basket (away from their bench) in the second half. Tonight they started on that basket in the first half. What’s going on with that? Did you notice?

By the way, remember after the Kings lost I was preaching how these things tend to balance out? This is what I meant. Now, certainly the Knicks should have had this one. Shouldn’t even have been close. But it was, and really could have gone either way. Knicks got it tonight. They also got the close win against Denver. We and we lost close against Miami, Clipper, and Kings. 2-3.
When the Knicks learn how to close out games and win more than half of these, thats when we have turned th corner.

maybe the last 2 games will put some things in perspective.
