Marbury a no show?

March
3

There’s a chance things are going to get even more interesting around here.

Nobody’s seen any sign of Stephon Marbury.

When the subject of his alleged ban came up this morning at shootaround, Isiah Thomas indicated the rehabbing playmaker would be on the premises tonight. There is no official gag order. Apparently, he can speak as long as there’s an MSG official present.

Remember, anything you say can and will be used against you in this building. Go ask Larry Brown.

Still, there’s a lot of people who are waiting for Marbury to speak. Since undergoing ankle surgery on Jan. 22, he’s not had a chance to counter the hints the keep dropping about his uncertain future.

“We expect him here tonight,” Thomas said before the game.

So will anybody out there be laughing if Marbury decides to make the organization look bad again?

I guess he didn’t show up. Haha. Good loss.

You know, if Brett Favre had lost his dad, at Lambeau Field, at the half time of a game, they would declare a national day of mourning. The press has ignored him completely. The players have nothing to say about him (they answer questions they are asked). The bloggers have continued to kill him. This guy needs a mulligan.

The worst though, of course, is Isiah! How he could talk about him in the past tense. A real leader would be there for his player. It’s just unforgivable.

It’s amazing that there are four teams worse than us.

and that those four teams are probably going to be good again before us.
