Marbury fails to report

I’m beginning to sense Isiah Thomas and Stephon Marbury don’t like each other.
Kidding.
Marbury never showed tonight and left Thomas hanging. Perfect. We’ve got another controversy to deal with for the next couple of days unless the Knicks decide to cut them both loose.
Of course, that’s a logical solution.
And in case that’s not enough to keep everyone suitably entertained, Nate Robinson apparently spoke out of turn.
This came from Chris Paul:
“Nate was talking to me out there and one time he said, ‘I wish I had a big guy like (Tyson Chandler) who could go up to the rim like that.’ ”
Very nice.
Eddy Curry used to play above the rim when teammates actually threw him the ball.
Thomas finally relented and played Wilson Chandler and Randolph Morris.
It worked out well. They got necessary minutes and the Knicks somehow had a chance to win until the regulars checked back in.
Chandler deserves a serious look.
He’s perhaps a little too unrestrained, but I don’t think anybody minds.
Zach Randolph was also nowhere to be seen. He was ordered to stay home and rest the sore right foot. Randolph did go for an MRI earlier in the day, which confirmed the original diagnosis. It’s a bruise.
And you know he didn’t get it kicking Curry in the rear.
Sorry, that was mean. The struggling middleman actually showed up and played big against the Hornets, finishing with 19 points and eight rebounds. He usually does pretty well against Tyson Chandler.

Mike,
who are you quoting here?
Morris and Chandler looked good. I wish they’d just put the summer league team out there. Byron Scott was toying with us in the first half of the fourth quarter. Paul just came back in and stepped on the gas pedal at the end. I wish we had a guard like that, NATE!
He is quoting what Nate was saying to Chris Paul.
And as much as CP3 did his thing last night – if he was a knick – trust me, Isiah would make him change his game, and defer more to Curry, Zach and crawford.
If he was a Knick, Isiah would look like a genius. Well, maybe I’m getting carried away.
Nate started at pg and had 1 assist …...
