More on Steph and Zach

March

Who knows whether the Knicks are backtracking after published reports indicated Stephon Marbury is no longer welcome to sit alongside teammates at MSG, but Isiah Thomas stated this morning the controversial playmaker will be on the premises for tonight’s game against New Orleans.

The beleaguered head coach was asked about what appears to be a messy divorce this morning at shootaround.

“He’ll be at the game tonight, and you ask him,” Thomas said. “Thanks.”

And that’s where the interview ended. He is no longer waiting around for the next question that has nothing to do with any of the remaining 23 games, which long ago were rendered meaningless.

Zach Randolph was in the building.

He didn’t get much done at shootaround, and was hoping to go for tests at some point today. Apparently, no good medical facilities in the metropolitan area stay open during the weekend. The sore right foot will likely keep him on the sidelines again tonight.

“It feels a little bit better, but it’s still sore,” he said. “I want to get it checked out. I’m going to get an x-ray or an MRI today and make sure it’s not serious.”
