Give the Marbury issue a rest, from one side of the mouth the media criticizes all the drama surrounding the Knicks and from the other they aggressively try to create more.

Screw Marbury, it's pretty clear he's done anyway, who cares whether or not he's at a game.

WAIT A SECOND.

Do not bite the hand that feeds you. If you're so concerned with productivity, why don't you all go do your own *&%$ing jobs and stop cruising blogs for the most shameful sports franchise in America, scoping out mail-order brides, and looking at whatever other depraved nonsense you look at on the internet.

At 18-42, the Marbury saga is a story at MSG. Not only is he a two-time all-star, but he is a local legend for many and the fact that he has been so readily tossed aside by a horrible team is more interesting than Eddy Curry's jiggly man boobs.

You want to talk about jamal crawford's tattoos? how is zach randolph really feeling?

If it were up to me, all I would ever talk about is how Isiah Thomas still has a job. This still blows my mind, but that gets tiring. And clearly it involves some stuff that I am just not privy to. What are you gonna do?

Big ups to Zeke [never thought I'd say that...] for shunning this guy. Marbury has a bad attitude and has never been a positive presence for this team. He should be forgotten, but forgetting is an active process, not a passive one. We should be talking about how he is a great example of what we Don't need. We should be comparing him to Chris Paul and Steve Nash.

I'm a fan. All I need is hope and I'll be ok. And knowing that Isiah wants as little to do with Marbury as I do gives me more hope than anything else has this season.

Marbury? :::crickets:::

Anyway, I was playing with the ESPN NBA Lottery Mock Draft (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/lottery2008/mockdraft) and got some interesting results.

I tried doing a decent sample to see what would happen. These are the results of 20 straight lotteries (It really shows you that it is indeed a lottery):

Miami (#1 pick 5 times - #2 pick 6 times - #3 pick 3 times)
Minnesota (#1 pick 5 times - #2 pick 4 times - #3 pick 1 time)
Memphis (#1 pick 3 times - #2 pick 3 times)
Seattle (#2 pick 3 times - #3 pick 4 times)
New York (#1 pick 4 times - #2 pick 2 times - #3 pick 4 times)
Milwaukee (#2 pick 1 time - #3 pick 3 times)
LA Clippers (#1 pick 1 time - #2 pick 1 time - #3 pick 1 time)
Charlotte (#1 pick 1 time - #3 pick 1 time)
Denver (#3 pick 1 time)
Indiana (#3 pick 2 times)
Sacramento (#1 pick 1 time)

First off: Is Crawford's bandage covering a f-ed up tatoo mistake? I've heard that rumor twice now.

Related to the other posters. It's absolutely true that most knicks fans don't give a hoot about marbury. who wants to see him? hear him? read about him? his peanut-headed contract (along with his peanut-headed head) will be traded (ugh) or hopefully bought out (yay!) over the summer/at the draft. While its anecdotal, I find in talking to a loose- knit confederacy of knicks fans in three boroughs consisting of every earth race, its evident he's totally forgotten, like memories of a drunken uncle who touched you at night when he stayed with your family when you were four after he lost his third job that year.

Marbury's old news. you might as well be blogging about howard eisley ozzie schectman...

the garden is obviously full of manure, but manure seems to be good for beautiful wildflowers that are stretching their petals and stamens to the life giving sun: wildflowers like david lee, renaldo balkman, wilson chandler, randolph morris, nate robinson (and yes) Jamal Crawford; all of who will be great running mates for Kevin Durant in four years.

I want to vomit everytime I read a story or blog on the Knicks.

To think this franchise once gave me joy and excitement.

You couldent write a script with a worse on-going scenerio from a fans perspective... we are literally in fan-hell right now.

Its getting to the point where im actually considering finding james dolan and physically harming him

I'm interested in Stephon Marbury and what exactly is going on here.

Make no mistake, if Isiah and the MSG goons just gave honest answers and had an ounce of professionalism and class, this whole thing would be a non issue.

Maybe the reporters would be able to ask those other questions if he stopped acting like a little baby, by getting up and walking away from every media session because he doesn't like a particular question. Seriously, what kind of pathetic weasel does that? Oh yeah, Isiah does that.

Gozer is exactly right. It's not like the issue is about the whereabouts of someone who might be able to play currently (like the Marbury situation at the beginning of the year). Who really does care about whether Marbury is at MSG or not right now or what Isiah and he have discussed?

There are interesting basketball questions to be asked. Here's a few: (1) Why doesn't Renaldo Balkman get to play when everyone else on the team does, including clearly inferior players? (2) Why pull Nate Robinson at the end of the last game? (3) Why not play the young players more?

The media are confronted with this stupid Stephon soap opera, so they think we're interested in it. We're not.

I'm usually a defender of the media, but in this instance, i have to disagree. you may be right that wins and losses no longer matter, however NOBODY cares about stephon marbury. NOBODY. you might as well ask zeke about laundry detergent.
