But simply replacing Isiah, while necessary, doesn't make this a playoff team. It's still a team with some raw, undisciplined talent that needs to be developed. They are also in salary cap hell, no matter who pulls the strings next year. Getting rid of Isiah is a step in the right direction. But the Knicks are a very long way from recovery.
