Look, 1/2 of this mess is Brown's fault as well. He runs roughshod over teams. He got his way on Francis and a couple other roster moves. When those went bad, he tried to go wholesale. Nobody was buying because he didnt do anything with the talent that was here. Point is... there was and is talent. Larry Brown and Isiah couldnt get it out of them... so it aint just the coach. SWAP THE PIECES or we'll end up in the same spot.

The Knicks can not sign someone who had no coaching ability in their life time. Mark Jackson might be a good guy but he should take an assistant job first and learn the ropes. I know everyone hates college coaches because of their terrible track record in the NBA. But if you can get a young fiery college coach whose built a program from scratch, Jay Wright from Villanove perhaps. They already have a great sense about drafting college players from playing against them all the time and at worst you would at least be pointing the knicks in the right direction. Anything is better than Isiah Thomas.

It's interesting to listen to a lot of these possible candidates behind the mic doing commentary at the games. Rick Carlisle, tends to repeat himself a good bit. Mark Jackson has a lot of personality and seems really suited to commentary. The guy with the true depth of knowledge seems to be Jeff Van Gundy. I'd love to see him back but he needs a fire in the belly that he doesn't have.
