That is the most glaring whole on the Knicks. Avery Johnson seems more loud than anything else. He has a wonderful roster and still was terrible in the playoffs. At this point, why not give Jackson a chance? While the Knicks re-work and rebuild their roster, why not bring in some old time Knicks to excite the fan base while also teaching some KNICK PRIDE to these kids on the team? Mark Jackson as head coach. Get a good old x&o guy, but also throw in the likes of Ewing, Clyde Frazier and Willis Reed? Mike D’Antoni doesn’t do defense.
