How did he become the leading candidate? As to the whole, bring back the Knicks from the good old days idea, they never won a championship in the 90's either. Phil Jackson is that missing link. Maybe Bill Bradley wants to coach. I do like Avery and someone (Sergio?) pointed out, correctly, that pushing a team from 50 to 67 wins is impressive.
