Let’s drop some names
Now we know.
Donnie Walsh is left with the sixth pick.
So where do they go? Best player available? Need? Who do you like?
Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose are no longer within reach. Jarryd Bayless is sitting right behind the only locks in the draft. Brook Lopez is the leading big man. O.J. Mayo is already making headlines. Danilo Gallinari is on the radar. Eric Gordon is poised to make an impact. Kevin Love is making strides. D.J. Augustin is learning to lead. Anthony Randolph is coming in with room to grow.
Like any of those guys?

What do you think the Knicks need, what do you think Walsh/D’Antoni will be looking for?

Within the last 24 hours; the mets lose to Atlanta, my boss puked on my desk, Clinton wins Kentucky, My daughter told me she wants to drop out of school to hang with her boyfriend’s band, my other daughter got suspended for bullying, my wife is throwing down her third scotch and now the Knicks get #6. I’m going to bed, call me in 2010.

The Knicks are hexed. We one uped 2005 number 7 overall (Channing Frye). We are not lucky by any means. The only light I see at the end of this dim tunnel is that D’Antoni worked a champion into form without any high lottery pick in Phx. Amare was 9 overall and Nash was traded. Everyone else was late first round or traded. So Mike D’ can work with veterans and throw aways to win. Were drafting as our record indicates not more or less – like the Knicks.

I will only accept Mayo, Gordon or Randolph. If it is the Italian or Lopez, the Knicks have lost a fan.

I don’t even feel like watching the game. I don’t want to go to work tomorrow.
All is wrong in the world.
Fin.

I’m very heart broken. The Bulls mannnn? That team has had a number of breaks over the years in the draft and now I’m going to see my guy Rose running their offense. This is depressing.
Get me the European player Danilo Gallinari. It’s time for the Knicks to catch up with the rest of the NBA and get a European player to go with a European coach. Besides, I’ve seen the rest of those guys Mayo, Bayless, etc. play. They’re already on my team Nate and Jamal.

Is it me or does it make things a lot worse that Chicago got the number 1 pick and we were forced to lose one spot. It’s bad enough we gave them two lottery picks we could have used the last few years.
Anyway, enough of my whining. I think Gordon or Augustin would be good fits.

I like Eric Gordon (Isiah’s Pick from Indiana with Love) and would not be surprised if the Knicks attempt to move up in the draft via trade to get Bayless or Lopez.

“The Italian” ?
What would be wrong with picking Gallinari at #6 ? People are saying he’s a better prospect than Bargnani, who went #1 a few years ago.
Typical Knicks-fan attitude. Because of Frederic Weiss, the Knicks should avoid European players like the plague. I remember Knick fans whining when there were reports Scott Layden was interested in drafting a PG from France. That PG ? Tony Parker. Knick fans preferred Omar Cook – LMAO !

Unreal, the Bulls get another high pick after getting the last two from the Knicks. I love Gordon, and I know Augustin is not Rose but he’s a point guard and he is what the team needs. Rose is overshawdowing him but he’s legit. I say take Augustin at this point.

I can’t see Hinrich and Gordon and Rose on the same team. Bulls are going to deal with teams. I don’t know what or how – something tells me a trade is eminent.

NWH,
Don’t eat anything that requires a fork for a couple days.
Peter Rabbit,
What are the Knicks looking for? Here’s D’Antoni … “Guards. Centers. Forwards. I don’t know. We need to get the best player available. That’s usually the best plan.”
AE,
Here’s some ammunition for you. We asked Donnie what might happen with Hinrich in Chicago … “I would wonder,” he said.

Right now i am hoping beyond hope that just maybe Bayless or Mayo slips to us. If this Italian kid can gather some hype and climb up the board, then have Brook Lopez go in the top 5 (that could happen minnesota could use a big man) We could have a shot at Bayless or Mayo.
