Did anyone see the the video clips of his game? VERY unorthodox and ABSOLUTELY NO athleticism. Drives to the basket in slow motion and most of his ‘up and under’ moves around the basket are toss ins from weired angles. No power game. He’ll be getting that junk tossed by shooting guards on a regular basis, let alone forwards and centers. Do we really need another 6’10” player who can shoot from outside and not play defense? Didn’t we get rid of Tim Thomas? He’s a project AT BEST. This doesn’t help the knicks for next year. Maybe 2 or 3 years down the road he’ll be more polished and can contribute.

But seriously though – he is an exceptional shooter.
He is currently 6-10, 225 and at 19 he can grow 1-2 more inches still. the knicks want him to hit the weights and bulk up to play the 4.
that means randolph and/or lee is gone. Chandler will see time at the 3 – which is great cause I am tired of seeing Q throw up wide open bricks!

lol I hear Steph wants to teach him how to speak English and in turn Steph will learn Italian so he won’t have a problem when he goes overseas after his contract is up :) lol

First, he better learn good English. Second, we are going to use him maybe as a shooting guard. Which if that’s the case Jamal Crawford or Lee may be in jeopardy of a trade. Depending how they use him. Can he shoot better than Crawford. Way better than Lee. But, you give up Lee’s rebounding. Maybe. It’s funny because we used Nate Robinson as a undersized 2 guard to Danillo who is an over sized 2 guard. Funny. More trades are eminent.

Jay Bilas is a moron. Once Mayo was gone it was inevitable this was the pick. Trading down only leaves the door open for another team to swoop in.

Nets did have a very good draft though. CDR is a steal where they got him.

My opinion is that no one dislikes the kid; it was just too early to take him. If the Knicks had traded back a few spots, there would not have been the booing. Me like the rest of the Knicks fans were waiting to hear the names of Bayless, Gordon or Augustine called then. If you were watching on ESPN, Gallinari wasn’t even on “Jay’s top six at that point. That! and the disappointment, albeit a dream, that the Knicks could not trade up for OJ Mayo. The third issue was the draft was over. We did not have another pick. New Yorkers (I grew up in Brooklyn) love excitement.

I also have to add the Nuts once again found gold with their 10th pick.
