Let's stop blaming the media for the ills of the Knicks. Should McDonalds carry the blame for obesity in this country? The Knicks have been a train wreck, and when a train wreck occurs in your back yard, you stop to look and then call all your friends. It's not the media.

What we, as Knick fans, want more than anything else to watch the team develop on the floor. We'd all love it if we never heard a word about anything these guys do off the floor. Personally, I don't care. I don't know any of these guys, they're not my friends or my family. But if they step outside the law, or make their workplace untenable for members of the opposite sex, that is news, and should be duly reported by the media. It is the media's resposnibility to hold them accountable.

JC's statement "shut up and play" only details half the equation. Perhaps it is time that the NY media shuts up and lets the Knicks play... too many writers all trying to fill too many pages with drama, you guys create issues with the Knicks in order to sell papers. Let them play before you tear them apart.

So the Knicks players might shut up and play.
but the Knicks media needs to shut up and watch.

Bring on 2008/2009

Jamal Crawford may be NY's best player. I think he could have a breakout season under D'Antoni.
