Mase

He's shooting on the side and doing lots of core strengthening. The workload is beginning to increase.

Mike - is he even practicing?

I think we need to stay away from too much conjecture with regard to starters and rotation players.

I liked that the K's look like they're switching better on D. There were many fewer uncontested shots for the other team.

Lee mentioned in his post game comments (side court interview, MSG) that people know their roles.

I like D'Antoni so far.

Why was Roberson signed in the first place? He's not going to play at all.

Starters:
Duhon, Crawford, Chandler, Lee, Zbo

Bench:

Maybe Gallo and Collins will be ready to step in for Q, Marbs at some point.

Jerome James, Malik Rose, Marbury, Houston, Isiah Thomas...

Just kidding. Actually, that wouldn't have been a bad team in a different lifetime...

I'm suspecting Mardy Collins might turn into a sleeper. He does have to prove himself. But let's just say he emerges -- and sooner rather than later. You start him along with Nate. You put Chandler at SF.

I don't know if we will win a lot of games, but I like the potential. Right there you have three really super athletes, with explosiveness. I am willing to lose a lot of games to give our biggest potential players room to grow.

I don't know why, but I'm really not so thriled with Crawford. At times, he's been great. But I think he best value will ultimately be trade value.

Same with Q.

Anyway, I think the Lee-Randolph combo has some advantages and can cause problems.

So here is my 5 just to be different:

Nate, Collins, Chandler, Lee, Randolph

Bench: Duhon, Crawford, Marbury, Curry and Jeffries (or Gallo if he shows he's ready to develop).

You buy out Marbury, so that reduces the rotation to 9 or 10.

Before trade deadline:
Starters: Duhon, Crawford,Q, Lee, Randolph
Back ups: N8, Marbury, Chandler, Curry

I would try to pump up the value of Q, Curry, and Marbury and then try to trade them to a veteren team in search of a missing piece.

After trade deadline
Starters: Duhon, Crawford,Chandler, Lee, Randolph
Back ups: N8, Collins, Gallo, Jeffries

I would give N8 and Mardy a good look at PG to see if either is the answer for the future. I would give Gallo a long look at SG, huge match up problem and less pounding, because if it works Crawford could be moved next year to free up cap space in 2010. Jeffries gets till the end of the season to prove that either he is Boris Diaw or needs to be traded/benched. Duhon gets 1 season to prove he is legit or if we need to go in another direction.

If everything works out this would be my lineup after 2010:
PG N8
SG Gallo
SF King James
PF Lee
C Randolf

This would be a fun team to watch. Probably not very realistic but this is cyberspace not the real world anyway:)
