Cliff...Basically you're right. Q was almost done and you never knew when the back was going to give out completely. Darko is mostly useless too. However, I see a glimmer of hope with him. I'll elaborate in a post.

Tommy22...Not sure what Minny's plan is. Are they actually going to start both of those guys. I was sure a trade was in the works for draft night.

Agree that Curry was desperately wanted by the Knicks, but, as always, they failed on that too. As for Q Rich he was a worthless waste of a roster spot. I'm not a Milicic fan but that trade was strictly a stiff for a stiff.

Thanks for resurrecting the blog. Stick with it, lohud has some great sports blogs.

I'm still waiting for that last minute trade where Minnesota realizes they have two point guards.

Chad Ford knows as much as anyone:

The Knicks are relieved. They were praying that Flynn went in the top seven so that they could get either Curry or Hill. They wish that Curry had been there, but they liked Hill a lot, too. Mike D'Antoni compared him to a young Amare Stoudemire. I think that's a little much, but he'll be good in D'Antoni's up-tempo system and he's insurance if David Lee leaves via free agency. If Lee re-signs, Hill can play some center the same way Stoudemire did in Phoenix. Good pick.

Mike,

I think you are missing the boat if you don't think that this draft puts the Knicks in a solid position to do a sign and trade using D. Lee to get that point guard that they are lacking. Hill is already better than Lee was offensively when he was drafted AND can play some 'D'. Mark my words, Hill and some combo of someone else will be replacing Lee. This draft starts the final clock of the Knick part of his career.
