It seems that we owe a sincere apology to the New York Knicks and all of their fans.
Amazingly, just a few moments ago, a member of our staff discovered that the Knicks’ current six-game losing streak commenced on the very day that we relaunched this blog.
So when it comes to Mike D’Antoni, Donnie Walsh, et al., none of this abysmal play is their fault. It’s ours.
And really, how can they be expected to operate in such snarky and critical conditions?
So from this day forward, or at least until they get back in the “W” column, we promise to tone it down, be more supportive, and toss bouquets of roses their way.

In other news, Orlando Magic PG Jameer Nelson (knee) is doubtful to play tonight against the Knicks.
The main beneficiary on paper should be Chauncey Billups, whose recent defensive struggles versus younger, quicker point guards has really stood out amongst the Knicks’ shortcomings.

In honor of the current losing streak —and as long as it continues — we’ll be posting images from Bill Murray’s classic Groundhog Day.
