The Knicks put the basketball through the hoop a lot of times against the Toronto Raptors tonight — including 78 first-half points — and moved closer to the sixth seed in the NBA’s Eastern Conference playoff picture.
In other news, the Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Celtics in Boston, which means that NY and PHI are now tied with 38 losses heading into their showdown tomorrow night in Philly.
The stakes are significant, as playoff seeding will determine whether the Knicks face the Celtics or the Miami Heat.
Which would you prefer? We’ll get into that a little deeper tomorrow.
Per NBA.com, the Knicks are now 14-2 when scoring 120 points. Tonight’s win was Coach Mike D’Antoni’s 100th as New York’s coach.
