Some interesting insights from Mike Woodson. The whole thing is linked in the post under this one. He’s eloquent about the role he sees the Knicks as playing tonight in the context of the recovery.
In short, on players: Rasheed Wallace is available, but will play based on matchups. Marcus Camby has practiced, but without enough contact to play, barring am emergency. J.R. Smith is completely ready. Tyson Chandler is starting, as are Ronnie Brewer and Jason Kidd, so tonight, Carmelo Anthony starts at power forward. Raymond Felton, of course, is at point guard.
Roughly 40 minutes to gametime, a decent number of people are already seated in the upper bowl. Keeping warm? I wonder. No one I spoke to had any guess as to the crowd size tonight, and I confess I don’t either.
I was relieved not to have to figure out how to get to Brooklyn yesterday, and wary about today. But I’m sure glad I’m here. I’ll be on Twitter all night @Lohudknicks to discuss and answer any questions. And there will be more after the game as well.
